Default Paint jobs

I know there are a million paint threads out there but I was looking in the C5 section and seeing what these guys pay for a paint job. What makes it so difficult on a C3 compared to a C5 to paint? I'm not a painter so I thought maybe someone can educate me. They can get a paint job for thousands less than us, maybe around 1/2 of what we "should" pay for a quality job. I assume the difference is in the prep work but that seems like a drastic difference and I just can't see where the extra $$$ are coming from.

THE BODY WORK is the difference. A C5 wont (under normal circumstances) need a lot if any bodywork. Most C3's need a lot of bodywork to get straight,do repairs etc....

Realisticaly speaking,it will take about the same amount of time to paint either car.(the actual painting)

And it is the bodywwork that makes the paint job, not the act of painting itself.

Hope that helps
