Clean casting # well and check again. Square port of oval port. Post casting date also. Should be this configuration. (example) E 7 70
Clean casting #, post date code!!!
3964291 is the closest I could find
3964291....69-72...rect..CLOSED..396, 402, 427, 454, 109cc chamber, Large or small hex spark plugs used, crate motor usage in years after 1970.
From: Graceland in a Not Correctly Restored Stingray
Look again at the last 4 numbers to make sure you're not transposing numbers. Believe you may find it's ...4291, which should make these the '69-'72 109cc closed chamber, rectangle port, hi-perf iron heads suspected. Depending on date code, could be off any number of original applications including 402 L78 or 454 LS6, off of a '70 or later crate engine, or replacements.
