Distributor Cap/Rotor Kit
I'm about to do a tune up. Autozone has 3 different
Distributor Cap/Rotor Kits.
1. Gold (looks orange) for $27.99
2. Black for $30.99
3. Tan for $24.99
The one on the vette is red.
Whats the difference? besides color and price.
Also does the higher output coil (42,000 volts) really make a difference?

Caps, you won't notice any difference. Might i suggest the parts for an upgrade though. These mads a huge difference in the responsiveness of my stock 350, Hypertec 53K volt coil and with cap and rotor btw, and this HEI module from MSD w/a rev limiter. The difference was immediate.

I would not use any discount parts here. Go genuine Delco or Blue Streak. Delco is available at your GM dealer and O'Rieleys. Blue Streak is available at NAPA, CarQuest, and Advance I believe. May have to order it from the warehouse, but worth the extra $ IMHO.
