There's some nice pics in this thread of Vettes with stinger hoods. (My personal favorite is Curtis74's...no offense to the others because they all look good.)

I hope you find the hood you want at a price you can live with.
Thanks!

As my old man said, opinions are like...and you know the rest...

I think the stingers look great, had mine for some time. No mods necessary for installation, Ecklers unit. I put a few hours filling and sanding the underside though, but that was my choice.

I've been thinking about a stinger hood as well, however, I'm going to have clearance problems.

Kinda like this but not that drastic.

I copied these pics out of a post a long time ago, but I never saw the end result. Does anyone know who's car this is or have a link to the post?

When I owned my last 68, I was planning on going with the Vanacor stinger hood because they were the only ones that offered it in "short hood" format. This way I wouldn't I didn't have to modify my fenders to a late C3 style. I also wanted to keep my wiper panel functional!!

I love the look of a stinger on a C3, better yet I would love to see the availability of Baldwin Motion style stinger hoods.

Two-Tone gets my vote.....it shows off the stinger hood scoop better (IMO).

Kortensi, looks like they did the same as I did on the midyear, had to add about 3" to it to get clearance for the blower.

<~~~ I think there's more pics in My Corvette Photos

Vanacor is still in business. I stoped at their shop a few months ago. They were in the process of rebuilding the offices. They lost some of the molds. PM me if you want there phone #. The son is now running the business. At the time they were waiting for their inspections.

Oh, I have their L88 on my vette.

This was also discussed very recently in another thread on this site. The OP went with the stinger anyway, but spent a LOT of time and effort in trying to get it to look good.
