Default engine date/suffix code

When purcahsed, my 66 convertible had a newer small block in it. I was told it was a 350 out of a 81 corvette, but I'm just not sure.

casting # 397001

date code V09182ZAB

Does anyone know what year this came out of, or even if it came out of a vette?

Any help would be appreciated.

Not sure about that casting number or date but the ZAB suffix appears to be a 1979 350 L48 195 hp corvette engine.
