Buying mufflers is very sujective- a lot depend on if you like the sound. I have Flowmaster 40's,- they are loud, and I like them. Climb under your car and check out your set up on the pipes, to order the correct mufflers, and maybe tips.

I tried 2 sets of Flowmasters including the 40`s. The car was very loud and vibrated the interior including my ears. It was very uncomfortable at speeds below 35 mph. I then installed Magnaflows, it gives the car more of a 60`s muscle car sound.

Depends if you want Flowmaster DELTA FLOW 40 series or the SUPER Flowmaster 40 series....

DELTAFLOW 40 series:

SUPER 40 series:

The SUPER series (I assume) would be louder...I have the DELTA FLOW and it is plenty aggresive!

On two different cars, my Durango and a C3, I switched FROM Flowmasters TO Magnaflow mufflers. The change was AWESOME for both that low gurgle at idle to the WOT roar without the drone and resonation of the Flowmasters.

Just my personal taste. Some love that Flowmaster sound, but I prefer Magnaflow by a mile.

I had the flowmaster 40 series two chamber for about 5 months. Pretty decent sound and increased power but to quiet for my taste. Just bought the super 44's but havn't tryed them out yet. I got a cat though so it's not as loud as without.
