Can you believe where the factory mounted them. I replaced mine with new GM horns. One high, one low. The sound of the replacement horns is not the sound of the original horns. Corvette always had a different sounding horn and when you heard it you knew it was a corvette. I bought the replacements because I wanted that sound but that didn't happen. The replacements sound like any other GM horn. There is a guy in WI that will refurb factory horns but he wants 200.00 to refirb them

I was thinking the same thing...I can hardly hear them above the motor.
I was thinking an old set from a 60s impala or something...damm those were loud

When I had my Tundra, I though the horns sounded too wimpy. I picked up some aftermarket horns at one of the parts stores. Don't remember the brand but they came as a high low pair and were red colored. Sounded like a big old Caddy - loud and would definitely get someone's attention.

Remembered the brand - they were FIAMM Freeway Blasters. They came as a set of two with one high note and one low note. Seems like they were less than $25 for the pair. I think you can buy them separately as well. I think I got them at Advance Auto but it might have been one of the other parts stores.

when I get them working, I'm installing the horns I took out of my '88 Park Avenue before it got junked....friends dubbed them the "Amtrak Horns". There are 4 of them.
