Hood problem
My hood is closed and will not open any suggestions. If you want to know I was painting on the firewall and loosened the latch on the driver side. Lined it back up just snugged it down, thought I would close it and let it align itself now I can't get it open..

Do you have A/C or power brakes?
You can remove the triangular splash shields on the underside of the car right behind each front wheel, and reach up and manually release the latches.
Once you get the hood up, aligning is very easy. Simply use a tape of some kind to see where the tip of the spring tower cone is and adjust the lower latch until it's near centered in that opening.
In these pics I loosened and moved the lower latch so it would leave an off center mark to show what it looks like and how to adjust to move the impression to the center of the opening.
