Can anybody please tell me what the TREAD SIZE is on the GEAR SHIFT **** for a 4-speed 1980 vette, stock tranny I'm thinkin maybe I like to try a T-HANDLE,but the problem being, is there are to many options and way to many tread sizes;and I need a starting point.A friend has a machine shop to tweek if needed, but I have to start somewhere. Is there a T-handle made that will fit right out of the store? THANKS FOR YOUR HELP FREDDIE!!!!!!!!
You're an Eastern PA guy..."tread" is acceptable for "thread" that close to NJ.
I've worked with cars a long time, never heard bolt or nut size referred to as "tread", must be some sort of street slang I'm not familiar with..............I figured the poster was just slow
It seems that Summit carries the Hurst T-Handle in various sizes... I'm sure others do as well. Thread on 1/2-20 in., Thread on 3/8-16 in., Thread on M16 x 1.50mm, Thread on M12 x 1.75mm, Thread on M10 x 1.50mm, Thread on M10 x 1.25mm, Thread on M12 x 1.25mm http://store.summitracing.com/partde...view=32&N=700+
You'll just need to figure what threads you have now...
