I recently started working on my 77 Corvette and i found a problem and dont know what the part is. it is on the driver side about mid ways down and is like a bag that is connected to the throttle linkage. it sits on the fender. if you can help please let me know thanks.
that could be it. i havent been able to find anything about that online. my headlights are stuck in the up possition too but i thing thats a vaccume hose porblem. thanks
Sounds like the Vac unit for the cruise control. The headlights up...do you know about the little black switch under the steering column on the bottom of the dash? Pulled out it holds the lights up. in they go down
How can the throttle linkage be connected to anything on the driver side fender?
There is a servo that is connected to the throttle linkage but it is mounted off a bracket on the rear of the engine on the drivers side. There is a transducer on the drivers side fender with a couple wires (one brown I think), a thick black hose and 2 connections for the speedometer cables (one from the tranny & one from the speedometer).
