Default Interior Fasteners

I'm trying to redo the well worn interior of my 68 Vette and most of the fasteners have previously been lost or put back in the wrong location. I'm wondering if anybody has any suggestions where I can find which screws go where, and what size new fasteners to buy. I purchased the Corvette Assembly manual and it has the old Chevy p/n but I don't know what size they are. ie the front console body gets a p/n 9427713 screw, but I have no idea what size that p/n is. Has anybody seen a look-up feature, or a cross reference. Any help will be appreciated!
Thanks!

As d322 said the interior screw packs are marked with identification.
What you may find is that the hole in the material (metal, plastic, fiberglass, vinyl, etc) has been enlarged and so you end up needing to repair the hole or use a larger screw, which makes the head too large.
All in FUN!!!
Regards,
Alan

Thanks, I ordered a set from Willcox. That will be a great start. I realize some holes will have been destroyed, but this will help a bunch.

as Alan mentioned, if you find any of the screw holes enlarged...an old trick...use tooth picks.

The GM Corvette Chassis and Body Parts Catalogue lists fastener sizes. GM parts dealers used these books. Some of the aftermarket providers carry them and you can find them on ebay. Look for one for your year.

The problem with the Parts Catalogue is that it was updated annually to include the new model year and will list GM service replacement parts if an older original part was discontinued. The replacement part will be functional, but not original.
