This one is rough, and probably needs a huge amount of work, the birdcage might really not be as good as the seller thinks...
But the very interesting thing on the car (to me) is the paint scheme. This was a January Car, and has a Cordovan Maroon paint code with the rare Saddle interior...I remember an L-89 with this rare one, but it was late production I think. Kinda cool...if you have a lot of money for a low optioned small block that needs everything and work too.
I like how he makes it look like all you have to do is install the front bumper and it will be just like a 68! The engine compartment looks like a rust bomb went off in there too.
At the current price it is still a good deal, I wonder what it would take to bring it back the way it should be.

If I were asking someone else to sell my car for me, I would be sure to ask someone who knows something about the car. I just watched him grind the hardtop tips into the pavement, and he doesn't know what the jack compartment is. Let's not even go into the "just attach the front bumper to make it original" discussion. The car looks like a decent project, but NOM and a new front end? Too much money to make it right. HEY STAN! I found your next Road Race project car!!!
'73's are my favorite, but I can only guess the reason for the front end swap was to repair a major accident. Thats one seriously nasty looking engine. And yes, I cringed when the removable hardtop was tip toed like a ballerina.
At least the doors and tail lights are '68. Ripped seats, non working tach/clock, radio/soft top long gone, condition of interior, "average". Nice fit on the hood too. Not a bad deal for half as much.
Hey 10 grand aint that bad. I would just leave the 73 front on, as long as its attached properly, paint that bad boy black and drop a big block in it.
If that has had front end damage and the incorrect year front end got "stuck" on there, may have been other shortcuts done on the repair. But if it all lines up and seems solid I would leave the front end on.
