Default Info plate on console

Does anything on that info plate on the console indicate what rear end I have. It says 360 Ft Lbs and also 8.5:1 comp ratio. Thanks. it's a '72 350 auto

David, sorry but no. You'll need to get it up in the air and get the numbers off the case unless you have the build sheet/tank sticker.

If you want to bring it over and put it on the lift I've been layed off so I have plenty of time.

By the way, we are starting up a Kansas chapter of NCRS if you are interested in joining. We had our first meeting Jan. 28th at Davis-Moore Chevrolet and I was elected Chairman.

Our next meeting is scheduled for March 7 at 9:30am at Davis-Moore - upstairs.

Your console plate is generic for all Corvettes with the same engine for your year. For some years, rear axle ratios were optional and could change from car to car.

AA 3.55
AB 3.70
AC 4.11
AX 3.36
LR 3.36
AW 3.08

You have two choices of rear axle ratios for that car. Std is 3:08 or Perf 3:36.
