The ECM is giving me issues (flooding fuel and no start) . Out it goes I think.
Any help appreciated. I am considering:-
Holley Street Avenger 670 or 770.
Edelbrock performer manifold
HEI dizzy
But.
What about fuel regulator, kick down, what then controls gearbox (700R4). Anything else ?
You forgot to mention if the motor is other wise basically stock. If so
the smaller 670 would probably be the better choice. Changing out the
distributor shouldn't be a problem. I have not worked on a fuel injected
vette yet so I have nothing to add about repairing the cross fire, but I
have heard that the cross fire is a pain in the, As far as the
the trans control some one else will have to chime in.
You really should get rid of the stock heads, they don't flow worth a damm. You need an accelerator cable from an'80-81, need to set the kick down cable. You can add a switch to lock-up the convertor or there is a kit that will do it automaticlly. You need a pressure regulator with the by-pass for the return line. You need to power the fuel pump relay with +12V from an ignigtion switched source.
Get rid of all the air pump crap and the EGR. Cut the wire to the check engine light. That will get you started.
