Electrolytic Rust Removal
Has anyone tried this? If so, how did you remove the black oxide. Did the cola work?

don't waste your money...I bought a brand new Chevy Blazer in '91 and got talked into one of those garbage deals...the Blazer rusted away faster than you could blink your eye...fenders, doors, you name it..huge holes...

For small parts you can just soak them in vinegar for a few days to a week and it will accomplish about the same thing. You have to paint the metal right away though to prevent rust from forming again.
