Compression Washers on Spark Plugs?????

Default Compression Washers on Spark Plugs?????
My 71 LT-1 has the correct plugs but I noticed oil of the spark plug threads. Then I noticed there were no compression washers on any of the plugs. The new set of plugs I ordered from Paragon don't have compression washer on their plugs. Should spark plugs have compression washers on them and would that prevent oil from getting on the threads or are the two unrelated. Thanks

Tapered seat ("T") plugs do not have washers.

I can't recall what year the change from flat seat to tapered seat was made. This is an NGK flat seat plug that I used in my 1967 with a 327/300.
