Default Power Window Issue

Having an issue on my 73 I was hoping someone could help me with....

The drivers side window goes up and down (passenger side works completely fine) but when it is up, it is slanted and does not open completely / correctly. When I put it down it goes *almost* all the way down except for about the last half inch. I took the door panel off expecting to see the window out of the channel but appears fine.

I can not find anything obvious which is snapped or otherwise so I am wondering is maybe I missing a bolt or something which has the whole unit out of alignment?

Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
Shane

Shane you need to adjust the window and stops. AIM (assembly instruction manual) is the best instruction tool for this. The AIM is basically what the assembly line folks used to line your window up at the factory. It states you raise the window almost all the way up and lossen the bolts. Then gentily rase the window all the way. You can then push or pull window up to proper alinement. Once there go around to the other door and enter car. Inside you tighten up your bolts and anything else you lossened. May take a few times but you should have it. Manual explains it better than I. Thanks

Shane, yes the AIM or service manual will take you through the process. Two bolts will allow the inside outside adjustment and the other two will position the window up and down front to back, that seems to be the adjustment needed based on your post.

The important thing here is DO NOT slam the door! If you make too much of an adjustment the window can strike the rear Tri bolt for the T-Top and it Will break the glass. Just check it slowly that the door closes without any contact. It can take some patience as one adjustment changes the other until all is well. Good luck.
