Top Flight the easy way!

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
You all crack me up.
Top flight the easy way, I love it. I am doing all I can to fairly represent my 77 Kinda Sorta numbers matching kinda sorta original car. My engine got decked, have a document that says the guy that did it removed the vin but as far as I am concerned the VIN pad will stay blank and the numbers matching will never be. If I wanted to have the car numbers matching you and I know it could be done easily and effectively. I just don't operate that way. In fact, some of you know that I work to stop people from counterfeiting Pharmaceutical, Medical Device and Consumer products for a living. What I have seen in the past seven years of that job is mind blowing. There is absolutely nothing preventing a complete duplicate of any C-3 part to the detail that could fool even the Top Flight Inspectors, I kid you not. So we might all be well served to note with this posting, and it is a good and funny one, should be a lesson to us all. Shortcuts to success will be found and people will take them, even if they think no one is getting hurt by the action.

Anyone want to buy an authentic (Genuine, low mileage, found in a barn on blocks and covered) 1963 Corvette numbers matching split window only driven to church on the third Sunday of the month four speed big block? Take me a little time to have it duplicated but if the price is right I got your car.
I have seen a duplicated Ferrari, so why not a Corvette?
Buyer beware.

Have a great day and if you earned them, show them off, I'd love to see the cars and the awards.

Sorry about the speech...
We don't condone that kind of activity either. Most of this thread has been 'tongue-in-cheek' sarcasm...directed at those who DO condone forgery of "original" or factory condition. Those folks like to say that it is only for "display purposes". But, in reality, when they sell their car, it is rarely divulged that it has been 'altered'.

And I agree that none of my friends and forum members I have had the pleasure of meeting and working with would ever do it. If I see a Top Flight award on a car I want to believe they earned it and deserve it. I won't try to compete at that level, way above my skills, but I sure admire those that do that work and earn those awards. To those that earn it my hat is off to them. Anbody out there know of or have seen a 75, 76, 77, 78... with Chrome bumpers on it? Has to be one out there somewhere...
Thanks again
