Default Calling All Australians!!!

G'day,
Six months today, a small group of Aussies will be leaving our wintry shores to bask in the Northern hemisphere's summer, and we will be riding along on one or two Caravans headed for Bowling Green. 2003 and 2009 Australian Caravan Captain James Pierce is flying into New York City on the 22nd, and joining up with the New England Caravan in Harrisburg PA about a week later.

Some more of us are leaving on the 20th for a few days in LA before driving up the Pacific Coast Highway to San Jose, where we will be based while we check out San Francisco. On August 29, we will be joining the Northern California Caravan under Steve Cleveland and will be travelling across the northern part of the USA before linking up with the other Caravans in Bowling Green on September 2.

Any of you Aussie Forum members like to join us? The schedule is flexible up to August 29 and after September 6 and we plan to spend about a month over there. If it's anything like the 2003 bash, you'll have more fun than you can tell your grandkids in a week!

We have a travel agent working on the booking and at this stage, airline prices are likely to be around AU$1,500, but we expect some cheaper fares to be offered in the next few months. I'm hoping that we can put a package together for about four times the above price, which includes rental vehicle and accomodation. Extras will be fuel, food and souvenirs, but as I said, we can tailor your trip to suit your budget.

Get back to me if you're interested, because you wouldn't want to leave it too much longer to commit yourself to the trip.

Regards from Down Under

John, I am leaving here March 14 for 4 weeks in the US. It is now too late to change my plans but I would have loved to have gone with you guys. I paid more than double that for airfares and was locked in when they tumbled. Never mind. Maybe next time.
Have a great day Mate.

TTT for you.
