Default I won a Meguiars gift pack.

I took the Vette to a car show yesterday and won a Meguiars gift pack (polish, soft wash, pads etc).
Not bad for a NO registration fee show.
Even got some positive comments from a couple
of local police (Nice Guys-They LOVED my Lambo doors).
It's small things like this that make all the work
worthwhile.
I even picked up a few carb tips from a C5 owner,
I'll try'em out and post the results.
It also looks like MY spark plug boot/cap problem
has been solved
(Heat wrap and homemade stainless shields) seem to work-SO FAR!!!
As to my new HEI Dizzy, all I can say is WOW
(I'm running at 10 degrees for Now) fuel economy is WAY better, she even pulls harder.
So if you've been debating the merits of HEI,
all I can say is BUY one-you wont regret it
(I previously ran a Pertronix setup).
I'll post some pics of the show soon.
Thanks to all for your help,

GAV

HEI is High Energy ignition. Gm switched from points to the HEI in 75 on the Vette.

Pertronix is an electronic kit that fits inside the dist that replaces the points.

10 degrees is your initial but what is your total advance. The initial does not mean much, and 10 degrees is pretty low also.

Yeah, I'm still in the process of getting things setup,
I dont have access to a dial back timing light so I'm wondering if there's any other way of setting the total
advance up?(and what should I aim at for total???).
As always MANY thanks for your HELP & suggestions.
