72 coupe back from paint
) but should get it moved home this week. Before

After

The paint was pretty ruff and the body needed some TLC. We think the rear corner on the drives side had been crunched at some point. The doors needed reglued, tops of front fenders were cracked. Overall very happy with the outcome. The paint scheme is taken from one of the old Motion Corvettes. I wanted to keep some sort of stripe on it and my father really liked the style I went that route. He picked up the gas cap for me as well. Changed up the hood mounts to hopefully present cracking. The race hood is light and has no support so it had the tendency to flex when put up. So we adapted some hood pins to the front hinges so we can just take the hood off if needed at the track and not worry about it flexing and cracking at the hinges when it's up. Eventually would like to get some different wheels for the street or just new tires for the front to even things out a little.

I am picking up my 73 from the paint shop on Friday. It is supposed to be sunny and 75 degrees on Friday!
I wanted to go with an L88 hood and a black motion stripe jsut like yours, but I decided to stick with solid Torch Red and stock hood. It is a good thing, because I got a 72 with a true L88 hood on it, and I will be puting the motion strip on that baby. She is my drag strip car.
I would love to see some more lictures of the car in the sunlight!
I will get some better pictures outside, hopefully this weekend. If the weather holds will run it home tomorrow. Kind of excited, just the second time I have driven the car. The first was from where I bought it straight to the body shop.

With Alan I like your stripe. It looks
