I've come across a yellow 1977 L48 that has 67,000 original miles. It is a one owner car (man worked for GM and bought car new). It's all original-- original paint, original interior (saddle), etc, etc.... always been garage kept and washed/waxed regularly. I don't have any digital pics, but I've seen hard copies, and it looks sharp. It doesn't need any work-- it's in great condition. He's asking $12,000. It is worth it?
Also-- my father-in-law and I have an '80 that we've restored... all new paint and interior. We've kept it as original as possible. Which would you rather have?
of the two model years, i would rather have a 77 car. sounds like a nice car, but way overpriced if you ask me. although i understand the one owner, relatively low miles, all original aspect. closer to 9-10k in my opionion. good luck!
Bought my '75 two owner, low miles in great condx. for a little over 10 ,three years ago ...
With the economy the way it is right now I would think 12 is a bit high ...
8 or 9 sounds ok if its in good condx.
And yeah the '77 prefered...I like the style of Corvettes with a flat back window ....

Reason: ..
I woudl say it is well worth it from the description, if you want a Yellow 77 with saddle interior.
I would never pay that much for a 77, but my love is for the early models and the later models. I would rather keep the 80, and buy a 69 convertible.
Corvettes are like potatoe chips. It is hard to have just one...
Don't buy anything until it has been inspected by a Corvette savy mechanic. You can easily spend another $5,000 on suspension, steering, and engine parts and it would not even show on the car.
'77s are the last of the tunnel backs. $12K sounds a bit high, but you can get the history of this car from the owner. Sounds like a nice, unmolested, Corvette.
Since the owner was a GM employee, it would be interesting to know what his mark down was when he bought her.
