Default Sidepipe refinishing...

My Hooker Sidepipes tubes are showing their age and the chrome is starting to rust through. What is the best process, short of de-chroming the sidepipes electrochemically, to remove the chrome? I would like to get another year out of them, and was thinking if I could strip the chrome off, I could prime them and paint them black with high temp paint. With a pair of Steel Shields, they might not look all that bad... Also, what kind of paint is out there that will handle this kind heat? or maybe this is a lost cause... let me know what you think...

Thanks,
Keegan

jet hot rocks. It's a little expensive but the finish looks great and LASTS. Good luck

I had my chrome Hookers Jet Hot Sterling finish coated years ago. If I had it to do over, I would put that money toward a new stainless set

I have dealt with jet hot and they do great work. Shipping and prices suck.
I was at a car swap/car meet, and met a guy that showed me the coatings his company has to offer. Nitroplate.com. Up front prices and killer shipping. High quality finishes is what I witnessed. They are getting my business.
