Hard time holding down the softtop
Hi,
I am having a hard time holding down the soft top in the rear. (1969)
What can I do?

The hard top or the soft top? If it's the hard top, do the soft top latches engage ok?

Had same poob buy new pins they get rounded and wont stay Paragon is where I got mine.

Also check for wear on the latch portion. As well as for a broken spring on the latch.

You also might check the latches to make sure they aren't adjusted so far that they're only half closing. In the pic I've circled the latch with green. At the other end of the cable is adjustment nuts circled with red.
My latch cables were adjusted so badly (tight) the latches didn't stand a chance of grabbing hold of the soft top pins.

I just drive around with the top down all the time. Problem solved.

I actually replaced the pins with big old bolts... big new bolts really. I have to pull the latch to insert the bolts because unlike pins you cannot push them through, but they hold the top down better than the skinny pins.
