nope. i was gonna go with victory red but victory red is alot more blueish (first coat of victory red is almost a marroonish color i wanna say) victory gets more red with every coat, this color stays the same through all coats.

it looks a bit orange in the pictures, its really just BRIGHT red ill try snap some photos later on without flash and post more pictures once everything is back on

anyways, thanks to all for peeking in

ill add/edit this post sometime at the end of the week (weekend maybe), till then, im stayin busy, leave the house at 6:30 am coming home at 9-10 pm

now comes the fun part, putting on the trim and tightening the doors/hood to make the seams perfect i think i might be done (with the exterior) by the end of this week

and dont worry about the floor in the paint booth xD im gonna paint it for him with some epoxy or something, anyone got any good paint for an area thats always wet? (you gotta spray everything down before painting so that theres no dust)

edit: and NO its not torch red i wont tell you guys what color it is yet i wanna see the comments first
Looks good! It's almost "give me a ticket red".

here are some more pics, put on some of the trim i think today (friday) ill be taking her home to work on her the rest of the way in the garage (i dont want it sitting at the shop, people coming touching it and leaving scratches on my new paint job )

painted the headlight covers glossy black

headlights down:

Dirty car still... need to wash it

glossy black rockers as well:

left to do today, put in the front grilles, drop in seats, put in the side marker lamps (front and back) and the tail lights and throw the carpets inside and head home to work on it there later

(ooh btw, the front spoiler is on as well )

Should look great once the trim is back on.

I think, unless I am misunderstanding, TSW may be referring to the space between the top of the tire and the bottom of the fenders/quarters. Seems like a lot of space there to me. Rocker trim and Front spoiler won't change that any.

Good looking paint for sure...Don't forget to black out the bumper trim on both sides of the license plate area...(bumperettes?). I see that overlooked on a lot of paint jobs. Unless, of course...you prefer them like that...your car, your call.

no yeah i got that ill be addressing the ride height when i change suspension. i think this car probably has stock suspension on it still... i dont want to cut the springs or whatever, we'll see once the car is all together what ill do about the ridre height. i personally like low riding cars w/ stiff suspension. makes taking turns more fun

im not doing any heavy engine work yet but....
so far, i've put in...

INTERIOR:
-Changed the carpets (tore out the old tan ones put in new black ones, $350)
-changed the armrests (door panel arm rests and center arm rest, ~$60)
-changed the seats (140$ each) to sporty bucket seats.
-Changing the battery compartment doors (in progress)
-Changed the Gauge lighting, see profile pic (cost me about $30 + 4 hours of work)
-Dyed the door panels and dash (for now, later ill maybe do something better, $15)
-gonna get a mp3/aux capable stereo for those long drives ($150-$200)
-i have a 1500 watt sub sitting in my garage waiting on a new home
-installed FATMAT all over inside the car (1 layer in the back, 2 layers under driver/pass/center console~$100)
-found a windshield for $70 gonna probably replace mine soon

EXTERIOR:
-New paint (and blended/shaved the front/rear bumpers and antenna)
-got some mufflers (from lsejowe i believe, still gotta send him the other half of the money ^^ )
-replaced the rear bumper to the vanacor one, i LOVE IT($350)
-new front spoiler (indy style, 1 piece$150, ecklers)
-different headlights (h4 bulbs/Halos$80)
-cleaned the side markers w/ super cleaner, they look new
-going to be changing the weatherstripping soon as well (gonna be ~250$)

Engine:
not much work here yet, mostly just cleaned the engine up a bit, took off the valve covers, sprayed them glossy thermal black and replaced the gaskets (FELPRO all the way) for the valve covers ($30)

total work so far, 1965$ not counting the paint job (brother in law hasnt said yet how much )

hope that answers your question more or less thats just off the top of my head

Your paint look great! I'm still at the "wishing" stage for paint.....I'm doing a lot of the same things you have just done.
