Default Got my '79 painted :) [pics]

PICS ON POSTS 1, 10, and 28

so my car's getting painted finally got to it after 5 months of restoring it on and off... i wont overload you guys with pictures mostly since i dont have too many yet, i just peaked in there after i got off my first job and heading to my side job

heres a preview:

it looks a bit orange in the pictures, its really just BRIGHT red ill try snap some photos later on without flash and post more pictures once everything is back on

anyways, thanks to all for peeking in

ill add/edit this post sometime at the end of the week (weekend maybe), till then, im stayin busy, leave the house at 6:30 am coming home at 9-10 pm

now comes the fun part, putting on the trim and tightening the doors/hood to make the seams perfect i think i might be done (with the exterior) by the end of this week

and dont worry about the floor in the paint booth xD im gonna paint it for him with some epoxy or something, anyone got any good paint for an area thats always wet? (you gotta spray everything down before painting so that theres no dust)

edit: and NO its not torch red i wont tell you guys what color it is yet i wanna see the comments first

Hot colors are good on sportscars.

That wouldn't be Monza Red, no?

The color is FANTASTIC, very loud. Looks like wet Lipstick Red

How about GM "Bright Red"?

So, which air dam is that you've got there?

...and are you going to address the ride height (only critique I have to offer)?

Should look great once the trim is back on.

by air dam you mean front spoiler? im not sure which one that is to be honest i got it for $100 shipped, some guy off fleabay (a risk i know but its new and he said he sold his vette before putting this on) and it seems like a good investment

as for the ride height, once i get stiffer suspension, i might lower it an inch in the back and an inch or two in the front. but REMEMBER, once the rockers and front spoiler are on, the car will look alot lower anyways

:ack i got lucky, right before i decided to get it painted, a temporary job showed up in my area, one i could go to after regular work and make enough money to get it painted , payed me $15 an hour 10-99 style, 4 hours a day for 5 days =$300 bucks that i could toss into my paintjob fund , PLUS my brother in law owns the body shop so i pay for his workers working on it, materials and ill pay him some for the paintjob so he can get his kids some bikes or whatever. after the way that paint job turned out, theres no way i would only pay him for materials and workers costs, i may not be rich but im not heartless good quality work deserves compensation
