hey guys, I appreciate everyones help. I'm still very new to this and any help anyone can give me is greatly appreciated. I learn something new about this car everyday. If anyone lives in or around the Houston area and can school me I'd be greatly appreciative. (also keep lots of beer in the house usually Smithwicks')
I don't know how to tell if it has a rear sway bar or single fuel line. How can I be sure it had a big block in it?
Fuel line runs on the pass. side frame in the engine bay. You should be able to see it look beneath that white overflow bottle.
The rear sway bar runs from trailing arm to trailing arm, over the spare tire. Your going to have to get on your back or just shot the camera up there. Some BB didn't come with sway bars.
Just looking at your tach, you have a BB car. Either the 390 single carb 427 or 400hp car. It's not the 425hp 427.

ok, from what I can see doesn't look like there is a sway bar. and as far as I can tell fuel line comes from the tank and goes to the fuel pump and goes to the carb. making it a single line. If it had more than one I'd assume that would of made it a tri-power?

No no no. I think you need to do more reading some books. there are plenty of good books out there. Go to NCRS.org and look. I can see this thread going on for ever. I am no C3 expert by any means. good luck with your car.
......um, nobody mentioned this yet, but have you checked the numbers on the engine vs the VIN#??? Maybe this car is a smallblock car originally AND the original motor is THE one in THE car???
...what others are refering to the "two fuel lines" are that some '68s had one single line along the frame from the tank TO the fuel pump. Others had two lines from the tank to the fuel pump along the frame; a fuel supply and a smaller diameter fuel return line(spillback)to the tank.
...if this car originally had two lines, chances are very good that it still has the "double line fuel clamps" somewhere along the frame. The single line fuel clamps were unique and rarely were re-installed to take the place of the double fuel line style clamp.

The 350 that is in the car now matches numbers with a LT1 1984 truck.
