Just got new tires yesterday. BFG T/As on stock rallies. I know it's nothing exotic, but I'm very pleased. I had 225/60s all the way around, but I went with 225/70 on the rear and 225/60 on the front. I wanted 70 series all the way around, but I must have aftermarket lower springs on the front, as 70s would've rubbed, I like how the 70s fill up the rear wheel well better. I will attempt to post a pic:
Not sure what I'm doing wrong, but I'll work on it. Any ideas?

Jerry,
I assume you've posted pix before?? If not, go to your photobucket account, each photo will have a box under it with 4 "links"..the 4th (bottom) one says "IMG Code"...just click on it (it will say "copied), then go to your forum post and right click and hit paste.
The IMG Code link (the one you clicked on in photobucket) will appear in your forum post. Go to Preview Message, the photo should be there. Submit your post, and the picture will show up on the forum for us all to see... Clear as mud?
BTW, thanks for the offer of the hog ring pliers. I'll let you know if I will need them.
I too bought BFG Radial TA's for my 72. I went with 245/60/15 on the stock rallyes. I wanted 255/60/15 like the Firestone INDY 500's on my 73, but the front would have rubbed the fenders for sure. There is evidens of previous rubbing on the fenders. I didn't want to go with 70's because I REALLY need some rubber contact area on the rear tires. I have the 225/70/15 GY Eagle GT II's on my 71 convertible, and they look skinny to me.
I love the tires, but they are not all that sticky. The rear still breaks loose ALL the time. I thought it was the old hard Firestone S/S wheels, but it must be the 600 HP Big Block engine that makes them spin

Thanks, Rob, got it to work this time. Lousy weather we're having here in So. Cal, isn't it?
My wife just doesn't understand....New meats on a guy's car are just hard to top! I tried to make a parallel to Prada heels, but she still doesn't get it. She IS very sympathetic to my Vette addiction, so I guess I'll keep her!
