Default Sooo..I bought this vette

and I am not sure where or what the best resource for tinkering is. I love the car but there are alot of things I need to address on a 35 year old car. Whats the best service/repair manual. The haynes manual is quite vague. I have a couple of wires I need to know where to place and I also don't know a ton about carbs. Any help is really appreciated. Thanks
Frank

Welcome to the Corvette community! Get the Corvette Service Manual and Assemble Manual for your vette- both available on line or from the major catalog companies, like MidAmerica Motorworks,

The assembly manual from Willcox on CD is nice, easy to search it. With that and the guys in here you can do anything.. I got a good carb rebuild from a forum member here and great service from the vendor mentioned above.. Good luck, post pics!

Before you do any work on the car, make lists of all the things needing to be done. Then prioritize: safety, function, appearance...in that order. Brakes, steering, suspension/structure, and lights/signals are the critical safety items. Do any paint work before doing the interior. Have fun!
