Default 73 rear bumper?

I've always liked the look of the early (pre-74) rear ends. Has anyone ever seen a bumper for the later years that looks like the early rear ends. I know you can get the 81,82 model bumpers which have a bit of a spoiler but I like the earlier look better. I would love to see one if someone has done this.

i was curious about this too. i saw a guy with a rear bubble glass corvette with the pre 74 rear bumper on here before, was a long time ago, looks a bit odd... but i dont think anyone actually makes a bolt on bumper, youd have to go custom, taking a mold from a pre 74 car and making the bumper yourself, actually it shouldnt be all that hard. just takes time and patience.

Have you considered buying a '73?

Well I dont have the money to buy a 73 and my bumper is fine so I probably wont make one custom. I was just curious if someone made one, in case my car backs itself into a guard rail, again.

No one is offering one that I know of. There was a guy on this forum awhile back who used to make noises about starting a business providing fake chrome bumper noses and tails for rubber bumper cars, but he got roasted pretty badly. He probably would be thrilled to hear someone likes the idea. Generally, the attempt to add earlier-era design touches to later cars turns out pretty bad, but some people like them. I see your car is pretty custom so I imagine this doesn't matter much.

Outside of a fully customized handbuilt rear, the only cost-effective option is adding a '78 Pace Car style spolier to the rear of your '75. It will fit properly and wouldn't look completely out of place like a '73 would.
