That's why I spent the extra couple hundred and got the stainless steel ones. The finish on them is the same and they look great!

Thanks for the video update; the car sounds good and looks right with sidepipes! Of course, B-Dean's shields finish the look cleanly.

Nice work.

I am happy to hear that you are happy with my shields. I believe you have the new Plain & Simple design that has only one row of slots but most mount them on opposite sides so the slots are on the top near the rocker panels leaving a smooth side view of there pipes. Now that i see them mounted that way they still look good.

Default Looks great!!!

dmeesq,
I LOVE the colour and the L88 scoop. The pipes look great, too. My only criticism is that the rear of the car looks a little high, like it's got a new spring, but the fronts are old and "saggy". Is it deliberately high for exhaust ground clearance etc? Or have you set it that way for a nose-down, aggressive stance?

Nevertheless, the whole car looks great, I only wish mine looked even 10% that good.

Yes , i set it up that way. I like the stance that way, low in front , high in back. I know lots like their cars low all around, but I think it gives a nice muscle car appearance.

The pipes are available at Summit or Jegs or other online places, check even some of the supporting vendors here, they all should be under 300$

The shields are steelsheilds, they are also from one of the vendors here, www.steelshields.com

Ok, they look great and the sound is ok as well, my Patriots are now 10 yrs old and most of the mufflers must be destroyed, they are loud, but mine use a single big pipe to join the header, your's use the header branch style, with 1 of the pipes actually join the header, is that restrictive? Could more be joined to assist the flow restriction?

It is slightly restrictive, not too bad because you are coming very direct off the header, the other inlets are cut off, they can not be used.

These pipes are fine under about 300hp

Over that, probably would be a bit too restrictive.

The best thing about these pipes is the fact that for less than 300 dollars, they look and sound great, work very well, and for that price, after enough years, if they start to look a little off, well REPLACE.

I had hookers, (great pipes by the way) but didnt seem to make any performance difference, didnt sound any better, and rusted after 2 years. Thats a lot of $ to spend to replace them.

My engine is about 275hp so the patriots work fine, im not racing the car either so all is good for me.

Also now ive done a lot more work to the car, its mostly for show and sunday drive now, no rain ever, pipes look good. Im happy

Are they blocked at the inlet or exit or both?
Reason, I have an idea to make a tri Y header to join up to 2 of them. Are yours the 2" or the 1-3/4"?
