i've seen a lot of posts from members that use Hagerty insurance but was wondering if anyone has any experiences using thier financing.
I'm hoping to buy a '69 coupe here soon and local banks wont go longer than 2-3 years for a car that old. I didnt really want a $400 payment to go with that type of loan and saw that haggerty is willing to do longer terms being a specialty company. their website is very vague on the matter of rates and terms though.
i'd appreciate hearing from anyone who's used them good or bad!!
I bought my 69 in Oct last year through their credit company partner and it was a breeze. They moved extremely quickly and within 1 week from the time I called them the check was in the other owners hand. They send an inspector out to verify the car and then you give them your paper works (income docs, car stats, etc.). Also very easy to insure through them also at this time as they talk to each other so you don't have to go filling paper work back & forth between various companies. The only trouble is they have a penalty if you pay off the loan within 2 years. I got my loan easily approved for$30K (i put considerable other monies down out of my own pocket) and this is when the credit crisis really hit hard
Can't tell you about the financing but their insurance side is first class. Very competitive rates and claims payments on all classic cars. I would not use anyone else.
I use Haggerty for insurance, not for financing, and am very happy with the company, their rates, and their customer service.
If their financing division is anything like their insurance division, then I would highly recommend them.
