Adding an FF Dynamics fan to the 75 and while Ive got it down Im putting on A fuel pump and water pump. I go to take my fuel line off the pump and it just splits in my hand.Im sure glad I found that line now instead of burnig up my car. Everybody Check the fuel lines coming from the fuel pump I was really surprised.
I just replaced my engine mounts yesterday on the 76. Just as I raised the motor up I got a small annoying leak on the fuel supply line to the pump. Looks like the rubber cracked.
It stopped leaking when I lowered the motor after changing the mounts. Some oil absorbent pads kept it from making a mess. Looks like I will have to go to the local auto parts and see if they have some fuel line for me.
The vendors list these lines as form fitted. Anyone know whether its best to use a set that is formed or just use something from the local auto parts and bend it to your needs??

If you try to us a piece of fuel line from an auto parts store they will very often kink and restrict fuel flow. I have seen folks use a much longer than needed length to avoid the kinking, but they can get in the way of other components.
My recommendation is to get a pre-bent hose from a quality vendor. I've seen cheap ones from some vendors that deteriorate and crack quickly. I don't know if GM still carries them, but that might be worth a try. I keep a spare one on hand for both the feed and return line just because they will leave you without your car while you order one.
One other option is to replace it with a length of SS braided hose. These are much more resistant to kinking and can be cut to the length needed.
I would check or replace all rubber lines, Being in the marine business we have had a lot of problems with older rubber fuel lines being eaten up by Ethonal Based Fuels. Been a real nightmare. Use caution.

I've seen several fuel lines that were eaten up by the "new" fuel. I've also seen a few that guys used 3/8 hose for trans cooler line. Make sure you get the correct type hose for the application.
found cracked dry rotted lines on mine 2 weeks ago when i had it at my mechanic friends shop replaced them right away and looked at every other rubber hose i could find ............yes that was scarry seeing as how my mechanic is 80 miles away and i drove there

Good luck... GUSTO
The small hose works ok from napa just curves but Im buying the feed hose its only $12.00 and its got two bends in it that i think will flow better than the Kinda straight piece i have on there now .
I llosened the clamp holding the (Gas)lines down and it let me get the hose up futher on the gas line .Seems to run smoother now. also added An electric fan.
