Has anyone ever tried this product "Killer Chrome" for redoing the chrome on interior plastic pieces? The product looks interesting as a possible DIY'er job.
The chrome on my center shifter console is pretty worn off after years of wiping off dust and general cleaning. I thought I'd look for possible alternatives to either buying new reproduction pieces or sending off to have vacuum metalizing done which is expensive to hire out.
never tried that but i don't usually use chrome paints anyway they always dry silverish and not chrome, they never look like the original in my opinion but you never know right???
Interesting but I would have to see a piece with my own eyes.. you ever see the chrome cap thats on a can of bumper paint? looks like chrome but what comes out of the can sure dont look nothin like the cap. I redid some dash detail on my 66 nova with a silver paint pen, it looks good but it was not chrome to start with. let us know how it turns out if you try it.
