Although originally only did Full size cars has all the correct information for corvettes also. The perfectly re-produced blanks are only correct for the 1966 and 1967 year.
How about a factory invoice? Allied-Vaughn might be able to provide a copy of the original factory invoice for 77-80 cars. The NCM might have build sheets for the Bowling Green cars. Either would contain more information than the window sticker.
How does one go about tracing down the original selling agency for their Corvette? My 69 was probably sold in CA in Nov. or Dec. 69. Did the factory keep a record of which VIN was shipped to who?
Hi 69RT,
The Zone Number and Dealer Number where on the tank sticker, the dealers name was on the window sticker.
The NCRS has researched many Dealer Numbers and you can search their data base on their site.
Hers an example of the 2 #s from my 71. Zone 14, Dealer 425. They're in the upper right corner next to the COPO box. It's Neel Chevrolet in Eldersburg Maryland. They had a 1 car showroom.
Regards,
Alan
