The only thing I noticed the GM service manual doesn't state is how to remove the lines to the fuel sending unit on top of the tank, during the gas tank removal. I ended up cutting those rubber tubing line with a sharp utility knife. I was planning to replace the rubber tubing anyway since after 31 years the rubber wasn't very flexible anymore and darn near close to dry rott.
