I'm about to take advantage of the VB&P sale and order a set of Bilsteen Sport shocks for my '70 BB vert (and a few other goodies too of course). I see that they have a Spreader Bar kit that fits between the shocks up in the engine bay for about $100 pre-discount.
Are any of you guys using one of these and did it make a positive difference with your handling?
I'm running electric fans so I was thinking about the pre-welded one.
There have been many positive comments about the spreader bar and I don't recall any negative comments. I installed one on my 72 but it isn't roadworthy yet. If you have an electric fan the pre-welded bar should fit fine. Mine came with no instructions, but I found that if you raise the front wheel to unload the suspension you can remove the A-arm nuts without the A-arm moving on the studs. If there is weight on the suspension the A-arm crossbar will keep moving toward the engine as the nuts are loosened.
I have not owned a vette very long but jacking it up and down while working on it I sure notice a lot of flex up there, I'm not over concered about handling improvements but I would think its sure got to help hold the alignment settings more true and stable while driving down the road..

You will be happy with it. I have had one installed in mine for several years now. It made an immediate difference in my convertible. Be sure to let us know what you think of yours when you get it installed.
