Default Window winder rebuilding. How?

Im going to need to rebuild/repair the window cranker mechanism in my 74. Is this possible to do with the door skin on the door? Any tutorials anywhere? Thanks John

Yes with the door skin on....but you do have to remove the door panel.

Manual windows? Take the door panel off, and pull the whole assembly out of the door. Takes some finesse, but it will come out. Get it on the bench where you can see what you're doing.

I have to add a caution here: Power windows have a big azz spring on the mechanism. If you don't block and secure the arms on the regulator you will very likely be short a finger. the edges are SHARP! And the spring is stout!
