Default help me pinpoint a leak?

ok so i know i'll have to change the gaskets, thats happening after the wife sells her lexus is300, we'll drop a nice engine in the vette and let her drive that and while we're at it, replace gaskets and stuff.. anywys, this drip just recently started, after my oil change here's the approx location under the car:

this is under the engine mind you:

and here's a short video of the drip (DONT KILL MY BANDWIDTH :P )

its not ALWAYS dripping, just after a drive and it looks like its coming from the engine... any help is appreciated

btw, the fluid is a slight brownish color and doesnt have any smell

p.s.: i KNOW the car is dirty underneath, i'll get to cleaning it when im installing the new engine in it.

that looks like coolant on your steering linkage, is it waterbased, or oil.
the heater hose connects to the intake above that area. check it. ???
could be the weep hole on the water pump.

on the snout of the water pump underneath, there is a hole for the seal, when the seal goes bad, coolant leaks out ,, also check your thermostat housing , lower &,upper radiator hoses. look on top the engine, thats probably where its coming from,
if its a brown color, your coolant probably needs changing anyway.

That looks like a water pump seal leaking. Grab the fan (engine not running) and see if there is any play when you move the fan up and down, also side to side.
Hope this helps....Tim

yeah i was planning on changing it anyways, how hard is the seal to change?

by the way, its DEFINITELY not from the top of the engine, looking from the top, i cant see anything...

I just bought a water pump for my 81 at Advanced Auto parts for $34.00. That was for a new not rebuilt pump. I'm not worried about numbers matching, I just want to drive my Vette.

Good Luck Tim
