Default Ecklers is too slow!

I ordered four small parts on Monday from Ecklers. When I called today to check on the order they told me my parts won't ship until tonight, which means I won't get them until Monday at the very earliest. This is totally unacceptable and they're now the last company I'm ever using to purchase any car parts. Busy season or not - you'd think after 44 years of Ecklers being in the mail order business they would have figured out by now how to process orders faster. Thanks for letting me vent. I'm going back to my happy place now.

Zip has always gotten my order out at the latest the next day. Sometimes if I call early they ship that day and it is on my doorstep the next day.

Zip and Willcox are my go to sources. Prompt service and great customer service. For my location, items always arrive on the 2nd business day.

I just placed several orders with Ecklers and they were fast. Ordered on Monday and received before the weekend. They must have been processing my order instead of yours I've never had any issue with them in the past, but I feel your pain. I would be upset if I'm trying to get a part in and have to wait to do a project another weekend. Like others have eluded to, there are plenty of other vendors out there; I use many of them depending on what it is I'm ordering. Every time an order comes in, it feels like CHRISTMAS!!!

i've had similar issues with ecklers and zip. they'll sit on the whole order, waiting for one back ordered part before shipping. a phone call usually helps move it along in separate pkgs.
on the other hand, willcox, muskegon brake and summit got it figured out. actually being next state over helps too. parts arrive quickly and low shipping charges.

I went through this with ecklers a bunch of times before I finaly switched to someone else.

Dont get me wrong, they have great products, and I am sure that most of their stuff gets out and to its destination on time.
However, In this day and age, companies need to be very attentive to their customer's needs in order to keep them happy, and IHMO Ecklers has been lagging a bit in that dept.
I switched to Corvette America, and havent had a problem since.

I guess they dont realize that when it comes to our cars, we are like little children. WE WANT OUR PART, AND WE WANT IT YESTERDAY

Maybe we have been spoiled by 1st or 2nd day air (ups).
Bashing any company that ships stuff for being A day or so late is just not American.WE wait for EVERYTHING .When ordering parts I try to keep enough cleaning and painting ahead to keep me from looking for the part. Then it shows up early.
If its something you broke while tighting A belt Its just a bummer and the part will take twice as long.
The urgancy of driving the car also plays into the time it takes to get that SPECIAL part.
The closer to the car show for instance .
So as someone who ships parts every day Givem -a -Brake

I typically use ZIP as long as they have what I need the shipping and CS are very good with ZIP. I just had to order a pittman arm from ecklers as ZIP did not carry it....they said it was in stock so we will see how long it takes....they have until next weds to get it here before it stalls me...

i am still new at this but i use corvette central. They have a good product at great prices. They ship what they have in stock and ship backorders as they get them. My last order was nine things and I will get the last of it this week total time about two weeks

Here's the problem: You can't always get the part you need from just one vender: For example take the "Power Seat Switch" for a 1981 Vette - Wilcox doesn't carry this, neither does Corvette Central, Mid-America or Zipp. Eckler's and Corvette America do carry the unit and there is a price difference - so I deal with all and I check all for best price. If I have a big order and one vender can supply all parts at the same time when ordered - I go with that vendor.
Some vendors show the item in stock and then you get an e-mail saying the part is on back order, I don't like that but I deal with it and know the vendor will ship what he has and send the rest on when it comes in. I can't complain about any of the vendors, I think they all have treated me fairly and all get my business.

I have had nothing but success using Corvette America, any time they don't have something they e-mail me imediatly. I am in the northeast so they are somewhat close, but orders always ship the next day.

I've sworn off Ecklers. Multiple times, I've ordered stuff from Zip in Virginia, Summit from Ohio, and Ecklers from one hour north of me all on the same day, and guess which one ALWAYS shows up last. Pathetic!

And the last time I placed an order with them, they sent me the wrong part. Then they denied it and tried to claim it wouldn't fit because I must not be stock (I am). Then denied I returned it to them (stupid me forgot to get delivery confirmation).

F'k 'em. They don't need any more of my money.

you can please some of the people some of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time. Yes, it even applies to businesses. I'm not trying to demean any one's frustration, I would be just as mad, but since its not me right now, I can say stuff like this :-P

They suck. I live in Florida and was lied to twice about the same order. I was told when my order would be shipped and the date I would receive. Liars they are. They ship once a week period. I have thrown out their catalogs, and the cost of shipping they demand is another reason to steer clear of their ignorance. Buyers Beware.

I would agree, ecklers is not my first choice. I will be trying Wilcox and any other vendor before I go back to ecklers. A little customer service would have gone a long way for me.

Seems like Ecklers has quality stuff . I've used them in the past. Since moving to MO I tried Mid America
since there so close by. Got the order two days later. What parts did you order ?
