Ecklers is too slow!

I did actually contact Willcox first. They told me the gasket was discontinued so they couldnt get it anymore - however, they did offer me another solution in how I might be able to fabricate one myself. I thought that was pretty cool to make suggestions because to me that goes the extra mile in customer service!
What really chapped my hide the most is the fact that Ecklers customer service flat out lied to me the first time I called them to check on the order. I told customer service this yesterday when I called the second day, all that person could do is apologize, and yet offered me nothing to make me happy. I tried canceling the order but they refused to do it while saying they couldn't send someone to shipping to find my order. 44 years in business and Ecklers is not organized in their shipping department? WTH! After really getting ticked off and giving customer service a piece of my mind about they eventually agreed with me that their order processing was slow while responding to me "tell me about it!" and then eventually mentioning others have also complained. This leaves me to believe Ecklers is well aware of the problem, and in addition most of everyone's comments here, slow order processing has been an ongoing problem that Ecklers is neglecting to address and correct over the years.
I asked customer service what was the reason for the hold up. They could not provide me an answer while saying they don't have that information in their system. Now when you look at other online ordering systems it at least give you an idea where the order is at - in accounting, in warehouse pulling parts and in shipping. You'd think Ecklers, after selling parts for years, could have a better information systems setup?
Btw, my order finally did ship very late last night. FedEx's database shows my box was scanned into FedEx's system just after Midnight. Now I have to hold my breath until the box arrives sometime around Weds with hopes they sent me the correct parts.

Been buying stuff from them since the late 70's and never been disappointed. Like every company, they've had some days better than others . . .but "unacceptable" ? IMO, nothing's that important.
