I'm trying to sell a 1975 Silver Corvette. What do ya'll think is the best place on the web for doing so. Where have you had results?
Tnx in advance. Peter
but you would have to post the message probably more than once spaced by a few days a part. It depends how flooded your area gets with automotive postings in single week.
Another place might be the local Classic Car Trader magazine for your area. I think it's AutoTrader who publishes this book and they're also online. Doing both covers those who look on the web and those who still look in printed hard copy ads. But I'd start with the freebie craigslist first.
Yes ebay is the choice... you most likely won't sell it in the auction, but you might find your buyer there... Nobody should buy a car sight unseen so most corvettes don't even get to reserve.. but the exposure you will get will introduce the car to the national audience...
Go ebay, national exposure, reasonable listing fees, check pricing with completed listings first before setting a price. As always, setting an opening price at true market value is key. I do not do reserve, just set the opening price at the minimum you will take for it and let it run its course. Good to end on the weekend too, I think.
