72 Hood Clearance
I have a '72 350 car with a stock hood and an Edelbrock Performer carb. It had an old Weiand intake manifold and I had to run a bugeye air cleaner which still scratched the underside of the hood.
I went out and picked up an Edelbrock Performer (not RPM) intake manifold and slapped it on and now I can't even close the hood without smashing the bugeye.
What do I do here? I have a small budget to fix this problem and I was hoping to find a way to get a couple (three would be great) inches of clearance above the carb for a plenum for a Spectre cold air system.
Any advice is appreciated!
