Default Bubba'd Wiring

I've had a few older cars and none had much in the way of wiring modifications by previous owners. My Vette's wiring has been extensively Bubbafied. I had to take it to a Corvette specialist to get the wipers working and it took them a good amount of time to figure it out. The rest of the car is in pretty good condition and not modified and it doesn't have a lot of miles on it so I can't figure out what the previous owners were trying to accomplish. There are tons of posts out there about Bubbafied wiring. Was the original Corvette wiring that bad that the Bubbas of the world had to mess with it?

Thanks Papawana, I have that. Just wondering why our C3s seem to have so many wiring changes by PO's.

I think Bubba(s) spent countless hours trying to run ground wires for their accessories to the body.

Hoo-waaa... that's probably right! Also, they needed to hook up their [add-on] 8-track player and their CB radio (any smokies out there?). Hard telling what else...
