Does anyone know if the front springs have different heights from drivers side to passenger side.
My passenger side is one inch lower than the drivers side. Front end has been rebuilt by someone else and I'm wondering if the springs were put back in wrong. The springs look good?
From my knowledge, there is no difference.

I have a '72 Stingray, and as far as I know there is no difference in front springs. When you order new springs, there is no difference in ordering codes. The previous owner may have used an incorrect spring.

There is no difference in the springs. They probably weren't seated correctly in the spring pockets when they were installed. Not a huge problem to correct. Get an Assembly Instruction Manual (AIM) and see how the springs are supposed to be aligned in the pockets.

Hi D,
I believe the 71 AIM indicates that the spring needs to be located in the seat in the lower A- arm so you can see the end of the spring through the 1/4" drain hole in the bottom of the seat.
That should help you in determining whether your springs are installed properly.
Regards,
Alan

The 72 AIM aligns the spring in the upper spring pocket, with the spring visible through the upper pocket hole, but there is no way of knowing if the OP has original springs or whose replacement springs were used. I used the upper pocket alignment on my 72 with VB&P 550# springs and everything looks OK. I have a number of other variables like a lighter engine, etc. that affect ride height but my suspension is even side-to-side.
