An alarming situation
When i try to set it using the key slot in fender, the alarm sounds continuously untill i turn it off ...
I seem to remember reading about t-top switches and door locking procedures in later C-3's ... but not sure if that setup would be the same for my car .....Any help?
You only have a few switches to check on this car, alarm cylinder theft switch (inside the fender), the hood switch and two door jamb switches. All the switches pretty much will fail over time so start with each switch and then try the car.
The hood switch mounted on a bracket at the firewall was always one that I checked first. The hood seems to bend the bracket sometimes and the switch will not collapse the switch when the bracket is bent.
The switch on the back of the alarm switch is another common one due to the way this switch is made. It’s plastic and will come apart on you! Make sure it has not self destructed.
Then go to the two door alarm switches.
You do not have T-top switches on your car, this did not start until 1978.
