I need to replace the heater core on my 94 so I'm in the same boat

I did find this online so hopefully it'll help you.

Or you can just pick up a dual male hose adapter, two clamps, and bypass the heater core like I did.

I don't drive mine when it's cold out anyway, so it's a temp fix until one day I feel like going through the hassle of fixing it...which I really don't care to, so it 'could' be a permanent fix.

A/C or non-A/C?
HUGE difference in the process. I changed my heater core in 20 minutes or so.....but my car is a non A/C car.

Supposed to be A/C but bubba thought vacuum lines were speaker wires... That's why I have the dash out and I figured if i've gone this far might as well.

Is this where we suggest it would be easier with the frame off ?

I hope not. The car is solid other than a few little things. Frame is spotless and birdcage is very good. There is a little surface rust around the windshield behind the dash. Next week I will paint it with eastwood rust encapsulator and chassis black. In a month or so the whole frame will get the same treatment. Also gotta change front brakes and work on bubba's crate engine install and hopefully have some fun driving this summer.

I replaced the heater core, by myself, on my '77 air-conditioned car. I didn't think it was really all that difficult. It took time...about half a day...but it was just turning bolts.

Take your time, take a few breaks, take a few deep breaths now and then, and it will be a breeze.

I didn't get the heater core done today . It was raining and the garage is just too dark. I did some basic things, inflate the tires, oil change, got the rear diff cover off to clean that out, preped the birdcage from the interior to paint, etc. Hope I have better luck tommorow. I'll take some pictures of the process.

On my 1980 the entire dash was out but the process is really simple from that point. I think it'd be impossible with the dash in place. Also don't forget to remove the 2 heater hoses from under the car first. Thats 20 minutes of my life I'll never get back, bangin my head and thinkin "what the hell is holding this thing in there!!" lol
