Oh pshaw - not even NASA can spell correctly, and many at NASA hold masters and doctorates!
When they rolled out the Space Shuttle Endeavour they hung a huge sign near the launch pad that read "Go Endeavor!". It should have been spelled "Endeavour" since NASA named that shuttle after the 18th century ship "HM Bark Endeavour" commanded by explorer James Cook.
