Default KIck panel installation question

75 coupe with A/C

Passenger side kick panel (panel that fits on outboard side of footwell).

Interference between new kick panel and vacuum actuator and mechanism. I do not see how the mechanism goes through the panel.

Do I need to modify the panel or does the mechanism go through the panel somehow?

I am not sure what you are doing wrong. Yes, the actuator goes through the panel. Do you have the panel for an A/C car?

The passenger-A/C panel with cut-out for actuator is shown on the bottom.

You just slide the panel up and behind the actuator. You need to have the door sill plate removed and the right side dash pad screws out of the end at the door.

Looks like the panel I have is for a Non-A/C car. The opening for the actuator is much larger for the one in the pic than the one I have. Crap.

Thanks for the help again.

If your aftermarket panel need to be machined for additional clearance, just use a little cut-off wheel on a Dremel and make clean cuts. I'm not so sure that the factory (or their supplier) didn't do just that for the A/C pieces.
