Will a 1968 rear vented hood fit an 1980 C3?

The hood I was looking at has a cut out at the windscreen end which looks like it takes a vent or grill. Cut out runs the width of the centre rise and looks about 4" wide

If its a long hood, its not a '68, more likely a 73-75. Why would you put it on an '80, even if it did fit?

Sounds like the stocker hood on my 76 I cant think right now, sleepy but latches changed a time or two,

Staying stock aside, that 76 style hood to me looks better than a stock 81
Remember I did say keeping it factory aside,

I had this idea that a higher rise would help ventilate the engine area and keep things a bit cooler. Also though it gave the car a tougher look but am in two minds as the orignal hood has such good lines and yeah there is the originality lost issue.
Appreciate any views

It would get some air flow better,
I dig custom most of these guys dont, I like to personlize my car to stand out from the flock, like I stand out from the flock...lol
but the bottom line is it's YOUR car do what makes you happy,
If all you do is swap hoods save the old one "just in case"
